The old fellow Bill from the local timber mill no longer operating, have had the timber of this tree stored on the back of the big shed for almost 40 years before I found it in 2015, it was supposed to be one of his retirement projects materials but like dozens of other woods types, he never used the and some were lost forever being in the mud/wet ground.  The mill did specialise in pine trees and its wood processing reason any other tree species cut by the old fellow, were put a size, either whole or slabbed.

 

Turns beautifully and accepts finishes well.
