This wood was salvaged from an old house's large fruit yard, that was very much in a stage of despair and lot looked after for many, many years.

Most of the trees were Prunes but other fruit tree species were present, most dead or half-eaten by the Termites.  Every single tree was affected and infested with Termites or other types of wood-eating creatures...!

All trees, or what was left of them, had to be removed so that the soil could be treated/poisoned to eradicated at Termites and or nests on the tree stumps/roots.

The whole thing was going to be bulldozed and burnt but, I manage to salvage a fair amount of wood, of the 6 fruit tree species present, Lemon, Almond, Apricot, Apple, Fig and off-course the Plum, the one with the highest number of trees...!

Lots of cleaning and spraying to kill any Termites found in the wood, some was far too late to do anything with it, but all the half-rotten and well-spalted wood, I manage to salvage by stabilizing it, these blanks offered in this listing, are a very good example of what was salvaged...!

Not a common wood to see and much less with such magnificent spalting, then Cactus Juice done a good job at hardening and make it stable to work with, the colourations when finished are outstanding, hope you like it...!
